In 2017, Ubertas Wines invested in a new weed-slasher. This is exciting for the future of our wines for multiple reasons. By using this new machine, we can control the grass and weeds around our vines much more consistently.

Moreover, controlling the grass allows the grass to feed back into the soil. The grass becomes compost full of organic matter that adds more nitrogen into the soil. Better soil allows the water and nutrients to be retained more and used by the growing plants, or in our case, grapes.

In other words better machines, better soil, better wine.
